This event will be in person only, no hybrid/remote attendance possible. If you type in „IPK Gatersleben“ into your navigation system, make sure it points you to the current main entrance at Corrensstraße 3, many people get lost at the old entrance „Am Schwabeplan“ but it is just one street further north.

In Gatersleben

We have rather limited capacities at the IPK but we are trying to organize single and shared rooms in our guesthouse to offer as well as a possibility to camp on the IPK premises with your tent (of course with access to a bathroom and shower — for everyone’s sake ;-). There is an option in the registration to mark if you could be interested in that and then we will get in touch with you as soon as we know what we can offer.
If you speak German, there is also a small boardinghouse in Gatersleben called Walters Hof you can check out (we have not tested it ourselves but may be an option, they probably just don’t speak English). As always, get in touch with us if you have any questions.

Nachterstedt, Aschersleben & Halberstadt

Nachterstedt is a small village close by (4 mins by train + about 10-15 mins walk from the train station) with a Hotel called Zum Schwan which might be an option to look at. Aschersleben and Halberstadt are two slightly bigger cities with quite good and direct train connections to Gatersleben (~30min) so you could look for a hotel there. We will put up a list of hotels and an overview of the train connections here soon.

Quedlinburg

If you are coming by car, getting a hotel in Quedlinburg (where we will also spend the second evening) could be a good option for you — it’s a very nice city (UNESCO World Heritage) and about 15-20 mins from the IPK. Just the train connections between Gatersleben and Quedlinburg are quite bad so we would only recommend this option if you have access to a car (or can ride with someone else).
